Carissimo Tornaghi, I have recieved the promissory note, but I warn you that I think I am obliged to send it back to you tomorrow as no-one wants to cash it. This Signor Schiaffino is either not known, or is known too well. Tomorrow therefore I will perhaps unhappily return it to you and find myself as before, or rather in worse circumstances.
